Why stay near Jasper?
Jasper sits at the crossroads of almost everything people come to the Arkansas Ozarks for. The Buffalo National River runs just north of town, the Boxley Valley elk are a short drive west, and Scenic Highway 7, Arkansas's first scenic byway, runs straight through the square. Arkansas Tourism calls Newton County the “Elk Capital of Arkansas.” With just 547 residents in the 2020 census, Jasper still feels like a genuine small mountain town.
How far is Jasper from Bearly Earth?
The Jasper square is about 30 min (17 mi) north of the cabin on Scenic 7, passing the Arkansas Grand Canyon overlook on the way. That's close enough for dinner in town, but far enough that you'll never hear a car at night. If you're searching for a Jasper, Arkansas cabin rental with real privacy and acreage, this is the trade-off guests love.

A note on groceries and gas
Jasper is small, so for a full grocery run, stock up on the way in at Harrison (north) or Russellville (south, off I-40). A small country store and café near Deer, about 15 minutes from the cabin, can cover the basics.
